Keep Learning: Our August Theme in the Year of “Keep”

Where did this summer go? One minute we were wandering through festivals, licking melting Bomb Pops, and debating whether pickles should be banned from humanity, and the next minute kids are marching back into classrooms with fresh notebooks and that “new year, new me” energy.

And since every month this year has carried our theme of keep, August is stepping up with a gentle nudge: This month, we keep learning.

Not just school learning — though bless those teachers and those sharpened pencils — but the kind of learning that carries us through every season of life.

Keep learning about the world.

Staying informed keeps you connected to your community and your place in the bigger picture. You don’t have to be glued to the news, but knowing what’s happening around you keeps your feet planted and your mind engaged.

Keep learning about people.

Everyone you love is evolving. Your partner, your kids, your friends — they’re all growing, shifting, becoming. Learning what makes them tick helps you show up as the best friend, parent, spouse, or partner you can be.

Keep learning new skills.
