Keep Persevering

A new month means a new “keep” article. This one might be the most necessary of them all: keep persevering.
Because here’s the truth nobody likes to say out loud — not everyone is going to like you. Not everyone is going to clap for you. And sometimes, without you even realizing it, you’ll find yourself standing in someone’s way. Not because of anything you did, but because of what they didn’t do.
Some people don’t outgrow middle‑school behavior; they just learn how to dress it up in adult clothes. The lazy ones, the gossipy ones, the ones who can’t compete with you on a level playing field — they’ll find ways to undermine you. They’ll whisper. They’ll posture. They’ll polish their veneer and pretend it’s maturity when really it’s insecurity wearing a tie.
And it can happen anywhere — in your personal life, your professional life, even in the spaces where you thought you were safe. If you don’t fit their clique, their mold, their idea of who should shine… or if your joy, your work ethic, or your simple existence makes them uncomfortable… suddenly you become a target you never volunteered to be.
But here’s the part they never expect: You don’t have to play their game.
You don’t have to shrink. You don’t have to apologize for taking up space. You don’t have to dim your light because someone else refuses to turn on theirs.
And here’s the kicker — there is actually room for everyone. There’s room for every dream, every talent, every lane. But some people can’t see that because they’re blinded their ambition and your hard work. They mistake your drive for competition, your progress for threat, your glow for shade. That’s not your burden to carry.
You just keep going. Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Keep holding your head high. Keep persevering.
Because the people who try to tear you down are already behind you — that’s why they’re reaching. And you? You’re moving forward. You’re growing. You’re becoming. You’re doing the things they only talk about.
Let them chatter. Let them stew. Let them underestimate you.
You’ve got better things to do.
