I wanted to share something close to my heart—my lifelong love of travel. It all began when I was a high school exchange student in Europe. I visited seven countries, from Portugal and Spain to France and Switzerland, but Austria completely stole my heart. The people, the culture, the language, the architecture—it was all so captivating. I was amazed that a short Eurorail ride could take me from one country to another, each with its own unique magic.
The friendships I made during that time have lasted through the years and across the miles, adding so much meaning to my life.
But here’s the thing: you don’t have to cross oceans to feel the thrill of travel. Micro-travel—those spontaneous road trips, weekend escapes, or even a scenic drive—can be just as soul-nourishing. Whether you’re hiking through the woods, cruising along the coast, or hopping a train to somewhere new, the journey is yours to shape.
Travel solo and rediscover yourself. Grab your best friend, your partner, or let your dog ride shotgun. Just go.
And when you do—be present. Eat somewhere new. Wander through unfamiliar landscapes. Make memories that live beyond your camera roll. Snap a photo, sure, but also take a moment to simply be in the moment. Let the sights, sounds, and smells imprint themselves on your heart. Later, when life feels routine, you’ll have those vivid mental snapshots to escape to.
I’ll be sharing some unique souvenir ideas soon—little treasures that spark joy and bring your adventures back to life with a smile.
So what are you waiting for? Pack light, dream big, and GO GO GO!
So, where do you recommend we travel, whether it be near or far?
